Khushoo privacy policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
Khushoo silences your phone during prayer. It is built to keep everything on your phone.
What Khushoo uses, and why
- Approximate location. Used only on your phone to calculate prayer times. It is never sent anywhere by Khushoo, and Khushoo only checks it while you're using the app.
- Do Not Disturb access. To turn silence on at the iqama and off after the prayer.
- Alarms and reminders. To start and end silence on time.
- Notifications. To tell you before silencing and while silent.
What Khushoo does not do
- Khushoo has no internet permission. It cannot send your data anywhere.
- No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, no third-party SDKs that collect data.
- Your settings are stored only on your phone and are excluded from Google cloud backup. If you move to a new phone with Android's phone-to-phone transfer, your settings and saved place can come with you. Uninstalling Khushoo deletes them.
City names
To show your city's name, Khushoo asks your phone's built-in place-name service (Android's Geocoder). That service belongs to your phone's maker or Google, not to Khushoo, and follows their privacy policy. If it isn't available, Khushoo shows coordinates instead.
Children
Khushoo does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
